The Netherlands American Chamber is an initiative to encourage, support and promote trade and investment relationships between The Netherlands and the United States. The Chamber provides a platform for new and established Dutch businesses, and other members of the Dutch community, to come together to advance their interests, and for Dutch and American businesses to work together for their mutual benefit.

May 11, 2012 Modern Atlanta presents its 5th annual 'Design is Human' Week from 1-10 June 2012, a series of events celebrating international design excellence and creative culture. This year, Modern Atlanta  in close collaboration with The Dutch Design Fashion Architecture (DutchDFA) will present Dutch PROFILES film screenings at SPACE2 in the Edgewood Design District and at the High Museum of Art. Dutch Profiles are inspiring short documentaries about architects, graphic, product and fashion designers in the Netherlands. April 26, 2012 The Netherlands American Chamber of Commerce for the Southeastern United States (NACCSE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Pieter van der Toorn as the Chamber’s new President. In accepting his new position as President, Pieter stated: “The foundation of the Netherlands Chamber in Atlanta is stronger than ever, thanks to our business partners. Over the past 12 months, we have seen continued growth in our membership. I believe this is directly related to the number and quality of events we have under written for our members. Nov 1 2011 Dutch eye investements in Georgia Dutch Ambassador Renée Jones-Bos is heading to Atlanta Nov. 7-9 to meet with Georgia officials, and Dutch businesses and community leaders in an effort to solidify and strengthen economic and cultural ties between the Netherlands and Georgia.  Read more.

Oct 27 2011  Sign the petition against Dutch citizens living abroad from having their Dutch passports revoked.  Minister Donner wants to revoke Dutch passports from those who obtain a foreign passport and to make it more difficult to reacquire a Dutch passport.  However, Dutch identity and loyalty to the Netherlands is not lost upon acquiring a dual citizenship, something that is often done purely for practical reasons.  Dutch citizens abroad are ambassadors for the Netherlands and promote Dutch interests abroad.  It is unfair to paint them as unworthy of holding Dutch citizenship. Sign the petition.

Oct 27 2011  New York debate on dual citizenship passports.  If there is one thing that irritates the Dutch in the US, it's the Dutch government trying to take their Dutch passports away from them.  That was the topic of discussion on Tuesday at the Netherland Club in New York, led by Boris Dittrich. Sept 30-2011 New book: Prominent Dutch American Entrepreneurs. Prominent Dutch American Entrepreneurs tells the stories of successful businesses started by Dutch-Americans in the United States. Its author is Professor Emeritus Carl Pegels of the University at Buffalo who taught Business Management there and has written extensively on that subject throughout his career. Read more 

GOLF TOURNAMENT 2011

As always, the 9th Golf Tournament was a great success. A 110 players, representing more than 60 Dutch and American companies enjoyed a day away from the office, the course and beautiful weather! Next year will be the 10-year anniversary of the golf tournament. It promises to be yet another spectacular event. Many companies have already announced to be there again, and have already secured their spot for next year.
